Best foot forward in support of WaterAid Nepal

02nd Aug 2013

Haigh would like to congratulate employee Neil Phillips who successfully reached the summit of Carnedd Dafyyd in Snowdonia in aid of WaterAid Nepal charity. Carnedd Dafyyd is the fourth largest mountain in Wales and rises to a height of 1,044m. With fortunate fine weather, the climb took Neil and his team some 6 hours resulting in donations of £400.

A keen mountain biker and scuba-diver, Senior Technologist Neil said "It is always a pleasure to be able to support charities through sports and exercise. WaterAid Nepal is so important and offers a lifeline to thousands of people. I am delighted that Haigh were able to support me with this venture."

Lack of safe drinking water and sanitation causes problems that touch almost every aspect of a person's life. The water and sanitation crisis kills more than 7,900 children in Nepal every year.
