‚ÄčLS405 Liquid Separator extended trial complete

27th Nov 2010

The LS 405, Haigh's update to the popular LS 403 liquid separator has successfully completed trials at Frome STW

Each of the two units installed on this site can handle up to 12 m3/hr of solids input, with the units significantly reducing the volume of waste that is sent to landfill compared to alternative solutions, down to around 5%

The reduction in waste volume is due to the washing of 'friendly' organic materials back into the flow for further treatment, combined with an enhanced integrated compaction unit that compresses the remaining output to skip

David Freeman, wastewater division manager notes "With all of the benefits of the smaller LS 305 applied to this model, it is an ideal solution for the efficient handling of screenings at larger sites. The benefits are already being seen in sites both in the UK and overseas"

The Haigh Lisep system is accepted on a large number of long term framework agreements in the UK and this is the latest of many innovative developments that continue to move the product range forwards, factoring in the core principles of reliability, sustainability and whole life product cost.

Two LS 405 Liquid Separators in operation, achieving end product dryness of 40% and volume reduction of up to 95%
